Firstly, my bridge climb photo!
On Sunday I met up with Tania's friend Paul (thanks Tania!). I realised the Sydney train system isn't reliable. Anyway, I finally rocked up to Engadine (in the suburbs of Sydney) at 3pm for BBQ food and met Paul's Mum, Dad and friends. Everyone was lovely and I'll make sure I get back in touch once I'm back in Sydney. After the BBQ we went for drinks and food before heading back to the city. You know how I said it was 40 degrees on Saturday, on Sunday the temperature dropped to 18 degrees in about an hour! The heavens also opened. It was actually nice to have a break from the heat.
I had to catch the bus at 6am on Monday morning - destination BYRON BAY. I would not recommend 14 hours on a bus. The highlight of the journey = the big banana. Haha some random banana at the side of the road.
I got to Byron and everyone was headed to a place called Cheeky Monkeys (cheesiest place ever but had a good night).
My first view of Byron Bay in the rain :(
The next day we headed to Nimbin. My advice, don't go here. It's basically a town version of Amsterdam but absolutely awful. Lots of random hippy women coming up to you asking 'Cookies, weed?'. It was raining as well.
Bus to Nimbin
Today the OzIntro guys headed up to Surfers Paradise apart from me and Mike. We decided to go to the Cape Byron lighthouse (most Easterly point in Australia) with another guy in our room. The sunshine shone for us and it was beautiful up there.
For the rest of the day I was lazy lazy lazy on the beach listening to Jack Johnson. It won't let me upload any more pictures and my money is up in 5 mins. I'm heading up to Surfers Paradise on Friday!
