I'm leaving Noosa tomorrow to go back to Sydney. I have seen the hostel and the supermarket in Noosa and that is it. Stupid sunburn. For the first time in my life I had cankles (?) because my feet swelled up. I couldn't walk.

Today my task is to apply for jobs. Fingers crossed I get one because I have $250 to my name. I decided to pay $10 for wifi in the hostel which gives me 24 hour unlimited access. Summer Heights High anyone? I think one of the internet cafes has given my memory card a virus. I can see the pictures on my camera but can't open the file on the computer. A little annoyed by that!

Last night we got a free BBQ and two guys came to the hostel and played geeetar all night. It was really cool and the only hostel I've stayed in that has done that.

Soph, Steff and Matt have got jobs in the hostel changing beds for one week until they move on. It will be strange to say goodbye on Tuesday and not know when I will see them again.

Not much else to tell apart from I did my laundy, exciting. I will make sure I actually see Noosa next time I come here!

Happy Birthday Ma Jobling!
Have a wonderful day and I will ring you today at some point.

After Brisbane, I headed to Mooloolaba. Tiny town with not a lot to do but very pretty. We only stayed one night but got upgraded to a 4 bed dorm with en suite (I managed to get the double bed) which was cheaper than a bigger dorm, result. We also met a Canadian couple who we spent most of the night with. The weather wasn't great but never mind. The next morning the hostel provided free breakfast - pretty much toast, tea and coffee. I tried Vegemite, never again. I nearly threw up. Before the bus picked us up we went for a Kayak with the Canadians. Apparently Steve Irwin's family live in Mooloolaba but we couldn't find his house or boat. The houses on the river were amazing! Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me but I did get burnt to a crisp :( My shins hurt when I walk and I must have got a little sun stoke too. My looks like a drumstick lolly, pink on my front and white on the back... It's an attractive look. Who would like to see a photo?
So I am now in Noosa, sun burnt, drugged up and supplied with chocolate, magazines and iced tea. I have a feeling I'm not going to see much of Noosa.
I forgot to mention, I keep seeing my little gold Matiz everywhere!!! I'd fit in out here.
And a big thank you to my big brother. You know why :D

Soph & Stef arrived in Brisbane so we decided to have a BBQ in Roma Street Parklands. Hotdogs and fried onions, yum. I love that you can use the BBQ's for free in Australia. Everyone fell asleep in the park afterwards. Because of the humidity I think it was around 40 degrees.

My backpack has multiplied in size from all the shopping

Monday - Stradbroke Island
My favourite day in Australia so far. The island was so pretty. We had to catch a train, bus, ferry then bus to get there but it was worth it. We saw wild kangaroos, wild dolphins and sharks in the water as well as a kookaburra (sp?). The water was so clear! We headed down to Cylinder beach and were the only people there for a good few hours. I did learn a valuable lesson from the trip - don't forget to charge your camera battery before you go out for the day! DOH. We hit a thunderstorm on the way back to Brisbane, crazy lightening filling the whole sky.

Today me, Matt and Olly got followed by Japanese tourists who wanted their photos taken with us. It was so random. Did they think we were famous for just typically English looking therefore worthy of a photo?

I'm sick of this backpacker Internet cafe, it won't let me upload pictures today. I'm now in Brisbane. It's nice to be back in the city. It rained the first day we got here (didn't flood though!). You can't really see the effect of the floods which is amazing. I really like the Southbank area of the city. We went for a wander last night and they had markets stalls and a free outdoor cinema in the area. Definitely going there again tonight.

Yesterday I went to the Australian Zoo with Lumpur, CRIKEY! He met some Koala friends. The Koala's are so cute, they don't look real. Hopefully I can get some pictures up soon.

Might be going to Stadbroke Island in the next few days, google it.

As for my travel plans after Brisbane, they keep changing everyday! I love how much freedom I have here. One thing is for sure though, I need to get some work soon.

I'm now in Surfer's Paradise. It's not what I was expecting to be honest. I feel like I'm in Benidorm (but in Australia)! High rise buildings and very tourist orientated. It's good to relax but I don't think I can stay much longer. On Thursday I'm making my way to Brisbane. I'm applying for jobs back in Sydney so I'll see how that goes.

I'm back with the others now and we are staying in a hostel called Surf and Sun. It has a pool! I'm getting sick of sand in my bed so big thumbs up. I bought a theme park pass which gives you unlimited entry to Sea World, Movie World and a water park called Wet and Wild. I didn't really enjoy Sea World but we went to Movie World yesterday and it was good fun. Tomorrow is Wet and Wild time, I wish I had a swimming costume with me! All I feel like I have been doing is lazing for the rest of the time. I'm still in holiday mode and I find it really disorientating. Cinema tonight for some cheap Tuesday fun!
