Happy Easter!

I am currently on my last day of a 5 day weekend.

After work on Thursday, I made my way to Randwick to house sit for Louise. Let the 5 day weekend commence. I didn't do much on Friday apart from watch DVD's and take a stroll around the area. I was going to go to the Easter show with Sarah (Paul's girlfriend) but she and Paul had to go to Adelaide for work. Pizza and Glee entertained me for the evening.

On Saturday I decided to walk down to Coogee, where it all began! It was extrememly weird going back there, it felt the same but different at the same time. I went to the OzIntro office to pick up my coat, scarf and said hi to Bec. I found out they are no longer using Surfside for the Ozintro groups but are moving to the city instead. I kinda liked being in Coogee for my first week but I guess everything is on your doorstep in the city.

Sunday was the day of the Barista course! I booked it last minute with the Sydney Coffee School in Pitt Street for $99 - Barista training and Latte art. Everyone else at the course were pretty much from China or Japan - my partners name was Sunny. One or two peeople were from Brazil and Peru, with a housewife thrown in there too. Lunch was interesting, I got the caffine shakes from drinking too much coffee! It was a great day (10-4). I can now make various coffee's and make nice little pictures on top of them for you.

 Cappucino and Flat White
We got tested to see if we could remember how to make each coffee - my test coffee's

On the way to the bus stop, some random stopped me at the traffic lights asking for somewhere to eat that wasn't fast food. Fair enough so I told him I wasn't sure, you're in fast food central in this area. He wouldn't stop talking to me after this and started to tell me I have sensitive eyes. OKAY? He goes on 'Do you know how I know that? Because I study astrology and we learn things about faces - the shape of a nose, forehead, eyes...' Argh, I swiftly and suddenly moved away up the next street. Sydney, please stop strange people talking to me in the street.
I got a terrible headache that night. I thought it might have been from the coffee but I think it was a wisdom tooth headache. I keep getting them every few weeks now.

Anzac Day - this year Anzac day falls over the Easter weekend so that's why we have 5 days off instead of 4.
Sarah text - we were going to the Easter Show! It decided to rain, glad I got my coat the day before. I met Sarah and her Mum and we got the train to the Olympic Park, where the Sydney Olympics were held. Sarah managed to get us free tickets (thank u!). I don't really know how to decscribe the Easter show...Full of rides, farm animal tents, show cats and dogs, woodchopping arena, sheepshearing tent. I think you get the idea. They also have what they call 'Show bags' which are basically bags full of sweets, toys etc. I got the Manning's a Bertie Beetle show bag and myself a cheese selection show bag. You know your a grown up when you pick the cheese bag over sweets!

I am so tired. I have walked my lil socks off this weekend. As it was Frankie's last weekend in Sydney I decided to book myself into the Wake Up hostel for Saturday night. A guy in my room had on his wall what I can only describe as porn, lovely. I took a picture to evidence it but didn't think it appropriate to put on here haha.

We had such lovely weather on Saturday so we decided to walk over the Harbour Bridge to the North Shore.

We went to a bar called Stitch in the evening. It had sewing machines and bobbins everywhere. Cute but random at the same time. I didn't get back to the hostel too late but got woke up by a girl in my room sobbing at around 3am. She then proceeded to punch the wall for about 5 minutes. This is why I hate hostels!

Today, me and the Frankster made our way to Palm Beach, aka Summer Bay, Home & Away. It was a slight trek to get there because the bus got diverted due to the triathlon but we finally made it there and it was sunny!  The beach is actually lovely...

It started raining just before we left so we got soaked! I got told by a Russian man on the train back to Engadine that I looked like a sexy secretary. Oh dear, I don't know if I was more offended that he thought he could say that to me or that I looked like a secretary...

Not much else has happened in the last week. I saw the model Samantha Harris at work last week. I tried to act cool whilst carrying boxes past her.

Happy Mother's Day!

I got up at 5.45 Tuesday morning to skype Dad on his birthday. I got a bit of a suprise when I saw Aunty Linda. She saw me at my finest hour haha. Dad made me laugh when I said Happy Birthday and he replied 'same to you too'. Whatcha like. I'm glad you liked the pictures, I got some funny looks taking them.

On Monday I got to go to the shop floor to help prepare for the sale starting the next day. Never again. They were all stressing out big time, I quite like my sit at a desk job inputting data compared to that.

Last night I went to see a band called Sparkadia at the Metro on George St in the city. I went with Paul and some of his old work friends. I had my first Japanese dining experience. I can't compare it to anything so can't tell you if it was good or not but I thought it was nice.

Look what I spotted today;

Today I went to Maroubra beach with Frankie.
You can tell autumn is coming
