I'm now in Noosa! I'm writing this while waiting for the room to be ready. It seems nice and sunny outside and just a nice temperature. I fell asleep on the flight from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast airport, so tired.

Anyway I'll update you on my last week in Sydney.

Last night I went to a house warming party in Glebe for two of the girls I met in the hostel. During the day I went over to Paul's and had lunch with the Manning gang.

Friday was my last day at work. Very weird. It still feels like I should be going to work on Monday. We had drinks in the office after work because it's the end of the winter season/my leaving.

On Thursday I went to see a band called Friendly Fires - amazing! The lead singer has got some sexy moves, youtube them and you will see what I mean.

Wednesday I went to the hairdressers. I got my hair slightly darkened down but don't worry, I'm still a blondie.

On Tuesday I went to Surry Hills for a leaving dinner with Paul, Louise, Michelle and Sarah. I had the biggest steak I have ever had, I needed the red meat boost!

Monday night I went to see a band called The Kills with my french room mate Cathy. They were awesome too.

Cathy and I (plus Cathy's friend)

I loved the leopard print background!

On Sunday, Sarah and I went to the Blue Mountains. Oh my gosh it was freezing. We went to a cafe in Katoomba for Devonshire tea, delicious.

And that's about it. Smelly boy (sorry to be rude but he is) is still in the room but thank god I have now left. I have found the perfect way to describe his smell - tangy. Doesn't it just make you want to bork a little?

Thanks Raa for the parcel, I read the magazine in the airport.

I'm off to go enjoy Noosa now. I'll keep you updated.

Guess who went sleeping walking the other night....oh yeah that would be me! I dreamt some guy had fallen down the side of my bed so I started pulling the bed away from the wall to let him escape. I woke up to me trying to pull the bunk bed away from the wall and the German guy in the bunk above staring at me. Embarrassing. Thank god it wasn't on the same scale as the Budapest incident.

It has rained none stop since Monday. Big fat rain drops too.

One week left at work. One week left in Sydney.

New room mate..........I wish I had smellivision so you could all smell the amazing smell coming from his feet. Oh yeah, he's also in the bunk above me. Lovely.

I am so not cut out for this hostel sharing room malarkey. Please can I have my own room.

I've finished my first week with the Food and Home wares department. Very different to the other department I was working in but they give me samples of cakes and brownies to test and give feedback. Awesome. Not sure my body would like me to work there full time with so much free food around!

I've booked tickets to see two gigs before I leave Sydney - The Kills and Friendly Fires. Very excited.

Thanks for the parcel Ma&Pa!

Not much else to tell you. Oh yea, it's FREEZING in Sydney at the minute.

The three week countdown to leaving Sydney has begun.

I had my last day at work on Friday with the men's buying department. I'm going to miss the girls I work with. Luckily David Jones have found me work for 3 weeks within another department.

I've started looking at booking my flights home for January. Scary but exciting.

Last night Tom, Ste, Dave and I dressed up as mime artists. It was one of our friends birthday and she had a house party in Newtown.

We got some funny looks going to get food at 1.30am in Newtown haha. Such a great night. We look very creepy though. Wasn't feeling my best this morning when I woke up... (lol).

It was 20 degrees in Sydney today and it's supposed to be winter. Australia, you are officially working your way back in to my good books.

Friday, 1 July 2011

I have officially fallen out with Australia this week. First you give me a new room mate who snores for England (he left today thank god!). Secondly, I have had to pay out $230 for contact lenses. Thirdly, I went to the doctors and ended up paying $30 for the privilege to see the doctor then $75 for the prescription. Not happy Australia, it would have been free in the UK. Fourthly, I went to sort something out with Medicare and politely told the woman 'oh, I didn't realise I had to do that' to which she replied 'Of course you didn't' in a very offensive way. Don't take it out on me lady if you're having a bad day. Put me in a bad mood...it takes a lot to put me in a bad mood.

But now it's the weekend :) and I only have 4 more weeks left in Sydney.

Miss you all at home.

Here's a treat for you;
