I'm now in Cairns.

It's very touristy here. I'm currently sat in McDonalds using the free wi-fi and a man is busking right next to me. I'm not going to lie, he's dreadful.

On Tuesday Louise, Laura and I went on a trip to Cape Tribulation for 2 days. Apparently it's called Cape Tribulation because the coral reef caused lots of problems for Captain Cook back in 1770 (or so I'm told). It's really pretty there and the rain forest meets the reef, one of the only places in the world that this happens. We went on a crocodile river cruise and saw 5-6 crocodiles plus two baby ones. The tour took us on a walk through Mossman Gorge which is extremely beautiful. We stayed in a hostel by the beach and had to stay in cabins. We saw some HUGE spiders. I didn't freak out Nic, you would be very proud of me! Maybe Australia is curing me of my creepy crawly phobia!

The next day I went Jungle Surfing in the Daintree rain forest. You are attached to a zip line and make your way through the rain forest, so much fun. Every person had a helmet with a name on it. My helmet said Cat Woman with 'Meow' on the back of it. I was known as Cat Woman for the next two hours. We also had Snow White, Cookie Monster, Alice in Wonderland (a man), Darth Vader, Bambi, Bugs Bunny and Captain Jack Sparrow. One woman was petrified!

I can't upload pictures because the wi-fi is so slow.

I haven't really been up to much else in Cairns. Laura did a bungee jump so I went to watch her do that. Tomorrow me and the girls are going on a boat trip to the Barrier Reef to try and find Nemo!

I'm pretty sure I'm going on a mini month long trip to Singapore, Bali and Thailand so I might be getting injections on Monday for that. Will keep you updated.

Louise and Laura go home to England on Wednesday. I'm flying to Darwin on Tuesday. Here is my itinerary for the next 2 weeks;

Hope you're all having a great bank holiday weekend.

Magnetic Island is beautiful but our trip was a bit of a disaster from start to finish. The Staff were rude, our dorm was right next to the noisy bar playing music until after 12 midnight, a girl in our room got ill and kept running to the toilet, we didn't really see any fish snorkeling, a bird ate our crisps whilst we were snorkeling, the staff at the hostel stole Louise and Laura's food then denied it and had an argument in the middle of the bar area. Fun times.
 Our hostel overlooked the beach
 A moon rise!
You could hire Barbie cars to get around the island

After Magnetic Island we made our way to Mission Beach. Mission Beach was hit by cyclone Yasi in February and you can really notice it on the beach and driving around. We are staying in a hostel called Scottys and it has been so relaxing!

 Our hostel
The local school had a fun day - they had ducklings aww

Louise did her skydive in Mission Beach! (I'm saving mine for New Zealand)

Just waiting for the bus to take us to Cairns at the minute.

Hope you are having a fun time in Dorset Jo-Bling's!

I loved, loved , loved the Whitsundays!

I'm really glad we had a smaller group of people. The skipper nicknamed us the book club. I came back really relaxed from the trip.

Here's some pics;

 Visibility wasn't very clear :(

The sand is so fine and white

We got back yesterday evening and are in Airlie Beach until Tuesday then onwards to Magnetic Island for a few nights.

On Tuesday I went to the town of Agnes Waters/1770 to do Scooteroo. You basically whizz around for 3 hours on a scooter. I had such a good time.

Last night I went to the outback to a cattle station called Kroombit - aka cowboy city. I got to help muster goats (and get kicked in the neck in the process, ow), crack a whip and ride the mechanical bull.

Trying and failing to play the didgeridoo

This morning I had to be up at 6am for catch the 7am bus to Airlie Beach. We got to Airlie Beach at 6pm, such a long bus journey.

Airlie Beach is a bit like being on holiday in Spain. It's getting hotter the further up the coast we go too, hopefully I can get some colour on this pasty body! When we (me and the two girls I met at Fraser) got to Airlie Beach we were informed we had been upgraded to a different boat. Instead of 2days/2nights with 26 people we now go on a boat called the Southern Cross for 3days/2nights with 9 people. So excited.

Oz Experience forgot to tell me they had cancelled the bus from Noosa through to Rainbow beach so I ended up getting another bus service to Rainbow Beach. I think they are going bust pretty soon, fingers crossed they last out until I reach Cairns!

There wasn't a lot to do in Rainbow Beach but we were taken on a cool walk to some sand dunes

FRASER ISLAND!

I had an amazing time at Fraser Island and met some great people. I didn't shower for 3 days....

There were around 30 of us on the trip, 8 were in my 4x4 (I was too scared to drive!). On the first night I shared a tent with two other girls and we discovered a mini cockroach nest in the tent. Needless to say we didn't sleep there that night.

On the first day we went to Lake McKenzie and I can't remember the name of the other lake.

Day 3

Fraser group

I'm now in Hervey Bay but leave for a place called 1770 tomorrow morning. I came to Hervey bay with two girls from Fraser Island. Today we went whale watching!

I will be doing the Whitsunday Islands from Friday until Sunday. Sea sickness tablets at the ready just in case.

Noosa, beautiful Noosa.

My stay has been short and sweet but I am glad I came back here minus sunburn. I met some girls in my room so Sunday we went to see Harry Potter - hard core. Yesterday me and another girl in the room went for a 3 hour coastal walk. Somehow ended up on a nudist beach, lovely view of a full on naked old man. Nice. I had a little afternoon snooze and we headed out last night. Tequila shots = not cool and not clever.

Today has been a bit of a waste. I had to check out at 10am and the bus doesn't pick me up until 3.30pm. So what have I been doing? Spending almost 2 hours on the phone to Malaysian Airlines! Good news is my return flight has been changed to January, bad news is I had to pay the 50pound admin fee to change it (plus the $150 worth of credit used during the call!!!!). I need to e-mail the company I booked it through to complain. Anyone like to help me write it?

Anyway, here are some pretty pictures of Noosa

The bus takes me to Rainbow Beach. I will be in Rainbow beach until Thursday and on Thursday I will be going to Fraser Island until Saturday. I won't have any signal until I leave Rainbow Beach on Sunday.

Update you all soon!
