i heart melbourne - it's where the cool kids are

Melbourne is uber cool, I however felt very uncool surrounded by it's coolness. It felt very European. Coffee shops on every streets, little lane ways, trams. The graffiti art everywhere is pretty cool. The weather was a little hit and miss, it's true what they sat 'you can experience four seasons in one day'.

My flight was delayed an hour and a half going to Melbourne. Remind me again why I decided to flu with Tiger airways? Finally go to the city centre at 12 midnight but had idea how to get to my accommodation so I jumped on a tram and hoped for the best. While waiting for the tram, a 17 year old boy decided to 'try' and chat me up = hilarious. I stayed at a hostel called the Nunnery, it is actually a converted nunnery. Weird or quirky?

Day 1 I'm afraid to admit I went on the Neighbours tour. Geek alert. I actually went to Ramsay Street! It's tiny in real life and real people live in the houses on the street. We met the Timmins' mothers, she was lovely. Spent the rest of the day exploring the city.

Day 2 I spent on the Great Ocean Road.

 12 Apostles
Day 3 I met my old room mate Cathy from Rooftops. We went to the Queen Victoria markets, walked along the esplanade and saw cute penguins at St Kilda then made our way to Brighton Beach to see colourful beach huts. A tiring but sunny day.

I got back to Sydney last night. I spent my last morning in Melbourne drinking a flat white and eating pancakes in Brunswick Street, delicious.

I did some last minute bits and pieces today then met Edel for drinks after she finished work. Who knows when I will see her again :( I came back to Engadine and packed my bag ready to fly back to England tomorrow.

I'm now in bed ready to have my last Aussie nights sleep.

Night all x
