Time for an update y'all!

So I've been in Bali for just over a week now and I love it here. The first night here we stayed in a town called Kuta. It's super touristy there so the next day we jumped on a bus to the north of the island to a place called Lovina. We ended up staying longer here because it was so much more relaxing than Kuta. Our hotel looked out over a rice paddie. One day we decided to go on a snorkeling trip, saw lots of cool fish and two turtles! Balinese men are not shy to ask 'Do you have a husband?', as we found out that day. Another day we hired a driver to take us around temples, waterfalls, hot springs etc - well worth the money.

We met Dutch cousins (Alex and Hilda) at our hotel in Lovina so we all decided to travel to the Gili Islands together which is where we are now. The journey here yesterday was just slightly long, we set off at 8.30am and got to the island at 6pm. 6 of those hours were spent on a ferry, 3 of these 6 hours were spent sitting on the ferry waiting and floating. Great fun.

But we are here now and it is beautiful. You can walk around the whole island in an hour. The plan for today is to relax, relax, relax.

I'd love to put some pictures on here for you but the Internet connection is too slow.
